Location: Madison, WI
Position: Benefit Analyst
The Benefits Analyst is responsible for directing and planning the
day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (group health,
dental vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance,
flexible spending plan, retirement plans, COBRA, etc.). This
position will be responsible for annual reporting, benefits
billing, and coordinating company wellness initiatives. In addition
to these responsibilities, this position will also provide support
as needed in areas of training and development, compensation,
recruiting, safety, and other day-to-day tasks or projects.
Essential Accountabilities
Administer company benefit plans and programs including health,
dental, flexible spending, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance,
short- and long-term disability insurance any other benefit plans
offered by the company.
Serve as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party
administrators.
Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned
benefits processes.
Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure
timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees (Benefit
statements, ACA Reporting, 401(k) auditing, etc).
Coordinate daily benefits processing. Handle enrollments, COBRA,
terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident, and
death claims, loans, hardships, etc.
Benefit Statements
Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and
systems.
Audit and process benefit invoices.
Lead monthly and quarterly wellness events, newsletters, and
wellness programs.
Manage and coordinate the employee service award program.
Manage benefit support orders and maintain records as needed.
Approval of benefit entries
Termination of benefits process
Open Enrollment Facilitation
New Employee benefits enrollment
Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems
that align with corporate mission, vision, values, strategic
initiatives, and annual business plans.
Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect
continuous improvement in the efficiency of the department and
services performed.
Primary trainer for the Human Resources team on benefits and
related procedures.
Assist Environmental, Health & Safety Manager with safety-related
initiatives and administration.
All other duties as assigned by the VP of Human Resources.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
and a minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience, preferably
in a manufacturing environment.

Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of human
resources
Effective oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with personal
computer applications
Working knowledge of timekeeping and Human Resource Information
Systems
High level of detail orientation
Strong project management skills
Strong customer focus, both internally and externally
Demonstrated ability to lead with inspiration and accountability
and being a good role model
Proactive approach
Position Requirements
Work Environment Conditions:
Inside: Office and occasional work/exposure in a production
environment

Physical Requirements: Light work (lift 10 lbs): Occasional -

Requirements Reading, writing, calculating, interpersonal
interaction skills, reasoning/analysis, working effectively with
minimal supervision, ability to resolve conflict, management of
multiple priorities, and maintaining strict confidentiality of
information.
Travel Frequency (in addition to seminars or related training):
Up to 25% of the time to our satellite locations and any other
required travel as necessary.
