Description:Job Summary: A Senior Customer Care Specialist will
process orders, create reports, quote products and interface
directly with customers and inside sales to facilitate customer
needs. In addition, this position will develop extensive product
knowledge and a working knowledge of the manufacturing process. The
Senior CCS will work well independently, is well organized, can
adapt to shifting priorities, and will also function well as part
of a team.
Essential Duties:
- Communicate extensively with external and internal customers
(OEMs, end users, outside sales reps, inside sales/customer service
reps, design engineers, manufacturing personnel) as well as
domestic and international freight companies.
- Learn and maintain an in-depth knowledge of company's
manufactured products, product identity, descriptions, and
features.
- Apply product knowledge to identify and propose cross- and
upselling opportunities.
- Answer customers' questions about products, prices,
availability, product uses, and credit terms.
- Communicate customer requests and create internal engineering
change requests to fulfill customized orders.
- Serve as an internal point of contact and resource for the
outside sales team.
- Edit, analyze, and place incoming orders; verify correct terms,
pricing, part numbers, ship dates, locations and shipping
instructions.
- Answer service questions from customers and apply judgment in
resolving service, warranty, or technical problems.
- Complete sales-related projects and oversee scheduling of
tradeshowsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload, including a high
volume of emails and phone correspondence
- Ability to set and achieve quarterly goals
- Excellent listening skills
- Ability to generate solutions to customer problems and
needs
- Ability to understand and communicate mechanical/technical
details about products and applications
- Must be capable of working both independently as well as in a
team-oriented environment
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word,
Excel, and an ERP database system
- Ability to meet deadlines and with high attention to
detail
- Highly self-motivated individual who functions well
independently and as part of a teamLevel of Independence: This
position has a very high degree of autonomy and reports directly to
the Sales Operations Manager.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is regularly required to walk, talk and hear. Must use
hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly
required to stand, bend, stoop and reach above shoulders. The
employee must occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs. and push/pull up
to 50 lbs. on a wheeled cart. Specific conditions of this job are
typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring
periods of sitting, close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in business related field or equivalent work
experience
- 3 years of experience in a customer support or sales role
supporting an OEM in a manufacturing environment
- 3 years' experience working in an ERP system
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field, preferred
- Experience working in Syteline, Excel and Salesforce,
preferred
- Experience facilitating tradeshow bookings and related
activities, preferred
