• Certification Details
• Registered in echocardiography (RCS or RDCS).
• BLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY.
  • Job Details
  • Traveler must meet all minimum requirements below to be considered.
  • Traveler will automatically be declined if licenses and/or certifications expire during the assignment.
  • Only submit traveler who can work schedule in posting and interested in the unit.
  • The Cardiac Sonographer independently performs assessments and non-invasive studies using ultrasound and related diagnostic technology.
  • The results of exams are used to direct the course of patient care.
  • The sonographer assists with various types of testing and serves as a clinical instructor.
  • The sonographer may participate in clinical research and acts as a clinical resource.
    • Job Requirements
    • Minimum one year cardiac experience required.
    • Experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital preferred.
    • Prior traveler experience highly preferred.
    • Needs 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years).
      • Schedule Information
      • Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on traveler's competency skills/experience.
      • The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units or different locations within the organization.
      • If the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit to complete the contract.

        • UW Health is moving away from using outdated Microsoft file formats. Profiles need to be submitted in .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx file types.
