advancementPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time
position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday
7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the
employee must be available during the peak work hours. From
September until December hours will be 7am - 7pm.Location: Crystal
Lake, ILPay: $22-$25 hourly based on experienceReasonable

to perform the essential functions.As a Grain Elevator Maintenance
Technician you must work safely within company policy, procedures,
and governmental regulations and fully participate in company
safety programsPerform critical operations to keep facility
runningThis position is expected to assist all areas of the
unloading, loading and transferring of grain and grain products by
truck and rail operationsMust develop a knowledge of the product
you are dealing with and its hazardous propertiesUnderstand the
proper operation of conveyance equipment that is utilized in
shipping, receiving and transferring of grain and grain products
and the associated safety systems of that equipmentMaintain all
rolling stock equipmentProvide a high level of customer service by
displaying courteous, helpful, knowledgeable interaction and
behaviors.Housekeeping as related, but not limited to, the
cleanliness and orderliness of the grain handling area (tunnels,
head house, concrete grounds, grass areas, etc.), as well as any
areas within the plant as delegated by position supervisorMonitor
equipment to ensure it is in good working order, participate in the
overall maintenance of the facility and equipment - notify
management of any necessary repairs or possible equipment concerns.
Removes choke-ups, cleans spills and follows proper safety policies
while doing suchBe an involved/engaged member of a team and be
willing to act, think and work independently.Other duties as
assignedWork Environment for the Grain Elevator:This job operates
in an outdoor environment. There is exposure to grain dust, weather
elements, heavy truck and machinery activity. Includes working at
heights up to 150'. Harnesses and other safety equipment are
required in some situations, must be willing/able to perform task
while wearing these items.Physical Demands for the Grain
Elevator:The physical demands described here are representative of
those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the
essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of
this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The
employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to
finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be
able to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, handle heights up
to 150 feet, and work in all weather conditions. This is a manual
labor job. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively. Must

Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or
equivalent.Additional Eligibility QualificationsPrevious Grain
Elevator Experience preferred.Previous welding or millwright
experience required.Excellent people skills, with an ability to
collaborate with a team.Flexible and able to multitask; can work
within a fast-moving environment.Ability to work long hours on a
flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings during
peak season.Maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
Compensation details: 22-25 Hourly
